Studio

Since 2003 The Stables has housed its own recording studio, combining quality sound recording facilities with a commitment to nurturing new talent. Our Studio Manager, John Bowman, has considerable experience as a producer, musician and music educator.

Singer in studioThe Studio includes a back-stage control room and two main recording spaces – the stage (including Steinway 'A' grand piano) and rehearsal room. With up to 16 channels of simultaneous recording via our analogue desk, linked to PC, ADAT, DAT and/or cassette, we offer a wide choice of out-board and software-based effects and processors, as well as both classic and modern sound modules. Our extensive range of microphones enables us to meet the many and various requirements of our studio and auditorium.

The studio is used regularly for music technology courses, school visits and creative projects.
