We are thrilled to welcome Calefax, a group in great demand worldwide, not least because of its unique instrumentation and fresh arrangements of well-loved pieces. Here Calefax performs arrangements of pieces written for keyboard, including Bach’s famous Goldberg Variations, which sit alongside Debussy’s Estampes, full of colour and evocations of different scenes, and Shostakovitch’s consoling collection of preludes and fugues, a reflection on Bach’s Well-Tempered Clavier.
