Krystle Warren
Our favourite Kansas City (Missouri) born folk/soul/jazz/gospel/rock singer, songwriter, guitarist and hilarious comedienne when the mood takes her, aka the astounding Krystle Warren, will be out and out around the UK in October with her debut solo tour (plus support from *Katell Keineg and **Muntu Valdo); as well as reprising her jaw-dropping, floor-wiping contribution to the ‘Way To Blue – A Tribute to Nick Drake’ tour alongside Vashti Bunyan, Green Gartside, Robyn Hitchcock, Scott Matthews, Teddy Thompson and more.

Kystle spent August back home in the States mainly hanging out but also playing a few solo shows including taking up an invitation from Rufus Wainwright to appear alongside Kylie Minogue and the man himself at the third annual Watermill Summer Concert.

If you haven’t yet experienced the live brilliance of Krystle Warren this is what The Guardian wrote about her solo show at Soho Theatre earlier this year:

“Warren's voice is an extraordinary instrument… It vividly recalls Nina Simone in its depth and smokiness, as well as John Martyn and Buckley in terms of virtuosic variety.” The Guardian

Supporting artist
Katell Keineg
Katell Keineg grew up in Brittany and in Wales and made her name as a singer/songwriter first in Ireland and then in New York. Her first two albums for Elektra are considered cult classics and subsequent releases were on Brooklyn micro-label Field Recording Co. Her wonderful new album "At The Mermaid Parade" was released on Honest Jon's Records this spring and received rave reviews including CD of The Week from the Sunday Times - ”vocals that alternately soar and crack, lyrics both allusive and direct, rough-hewn, carefree, ramshackle folk arrangements that dance with abandon and are resolutely uncontainable. An uncompromising and long overdue return”
