Stile Antico is an ensemble of young British singers and one of the most exciting new vocal groups. Here they embark on a fascinating exploration of stunning yet neglected music; the wealth of Tudor and Jacobean sacred music written for private performance. Not only does this music chart a course through a period of remarkable historical and religious events, but it gets to the heart of the original concept of chamber music – music-making by a small of group of people in a private dwelling - inviting audiences to eavesdrop on this profound and moving musical experience.
