The Paris 1940s
See them live and the stage set up will have you convinced you’ve stumbled into a Soho jazz club; wait for the band to get on stage and the hair and clothes say “indie”. Whatever you think you’re about to hear, the reality will be very different. What follows is an intricately arranged, expertly delivered cocktail of jazz, swing, samba, pop and experimental indie/rock, plucked from an infinite repertoire, from MGMT and Katy Perry to Motorhead and Calvin Harris. Sets are packed with sensational solos, multi-layered vocals and sax harmonies looped live on stage.
"If anyone can take jazz into a new era and appeal to the next generation, it’s The Paris 1940s." Julian Marc Stringle
